Planning Application for Dudley Town Centre

The Portersfield scheme is a £80m mixed use regeneration scheme, located in the heart of Dudley Town Centre. The 12acre development site will include an exciting mix of retail, commercial, bars, restaurants, cinema, health club and residential facilities.

The Portersfield masterplan has been closely co-ordinated with designs for new Dudley bus station – ‘Dudley Interchange’ as well as the proposed Midland Metro tram line that is scheduled to link Dudley to the wider conurbation in 2022.

The scheme includes extensive infrastructure works including a new public realm space at the heart of the scheme linking Portersfield, Dudley Interchange and the wider town centre area.

Work has included public consultation and close liaison with stakeholders, including Dudley MBC, Transport for West Midlands (TfWM), West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA), Midland Metro Alliance (MMA) and the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).

The submission of the Planning Application marks a major milestone in the development of the project.
